The President of the youth wing of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in Donga Mantung II (Ndu), Theodore Njobi, has set out to rally the youths of the subdivision to ensure a resounding victory for President Paul Biya in the October 12, 2025 presidential election.
Since his election as section president in 2020, Njobi has earned the nickname “YCPDM bulldozer” for his relentless mobilisation efforts. This will be his first presidential campaign as leader, and he insists it must not only secure a win but deliver it “in style and with a comfortable majority.”
With 27 subsections and more than 27,000 registered voters in Ndu, Njobi says the energy of the youth will be decisive. He argues that Biya’s leadership has given Ndu a special place in Cameroon’s development map since 2018, ushering in what he describes as a “360° turnaround.”
During meetings in Mbiemeh, Kakar, Tallah, and Jirt, Njobi pointed to the work of Mafor Yah Sunday Epse Achidi as proof of the President’s commitment. According to him, her initiatives have changed lives by securing jobs for over 215 young people, organizing an annual sports tournament to keep youths engaged, and sponsoring a large-scale free health campaign that saw over 800 consultations at the Ndu District Hospital. Youths attending the meetings nodded in agreement as he spoke, some recounting how these efforts have lifted families out of poverty.
The transformation of Ndu politics also came under the spotlight. Following the dramatic 2020 twin elections, CPDM took control of the council after 27 years of SDF dominance. Since then, locals say development has been unprecedented under Mayor Alhadji Borno Abdou Kanfon, citing paved roads, rehabilitated schools and health centers, potable water projects, electricity supply, and direct support to vulnerable households.
Ongoing flagship projects include the Kumbo–Mbieme ring road, already nearing completion, and the construction of a modern market with 120 shops and upgraded facilities. For Njobi, these are tangible signs that “the CPDM keeps to its promises.” Standing by the new council office, he remarked: “Politics has never been this real and practical in Ndu.”
The YCPDM leader framed the upcoming election as a choice between progress and regression. “If we are wise and want to deserve more development, now is the time to choose — and that choice is President Paul Biya. He has the knife and the yam,” he declared.
In a passionate appeal, he urged young people still hiding in the bushes to abandon violence and return home. “Let us join hands to build our most cherished Ndu York City,” he said, sketching a vision of a modern, thriving municipality powered by CPDM’s leadership
