The Mayor of Bamenda II Council, Peter Chenwi, has donated 1 million CFA francs to support the launch of a news magazine for the Christian Men’s Fellowship (CMF) of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC).
The donation was made Saturday April 25th 2026, during a ceremony marking the dedication of the National Secretariat and residence of the National Secretary of the PCC Men’s Work Department in Ntamulung, Bamenda II Subdivision.
The event brought together church leaders, local authorities, and Christians from across the nation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Chenwi, who is a member of the PCC, described his contribution as part of his commitment to supporting faith-based and community development. He noted that the presence of the secretariat within his municipality is a source of pride and responsibility.
The mayor was later presented with a certificate of honour by the church in recognition of his support towards the construction of the secretariat.
The newly dedicated building will serve as the national administrative headquarters of the Men’s Work Department of the PCC, coordinating the activities of the Christian Men’s Fellowship across the country. The residence, also known as a manse, will provide accommodation for the National Secretary, helping to ensure effective supervision of the department’s work.
The event also highlighted plans for the CMF news magazine, which is expected to document and promote the activities and impact of the men’s fellowship nationwide.
Presiding over the dedication service was the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia. He was assisted by several senior church officials, including the Synod Clerk, Rev. Ayuk Solomon Eta; the Secretary of the Committee of the Ministry, Rev. Emmanuel B. Masok; the Secretary of the Constitution Committee, Rev. Prof. Mbengu David; the National Communication Secretary, Rev. Dr. Perpetua Fonki; the Moderator’s Representative for the North West Region, Rev. Ngongang Paul Anyam; and the National Secretary of the Men’s Work, Rev. Paul Ngi Tah, alongside other pastors.
Through prayers and exhortations, the Moderator dedicated the new facilities to the service of God and called on members of the Christian Men’s Fellowship to remain committed to their spiritual responsibilities and their role in community development.
