North West and South West indigens have been rallied in Cameroon's economic capital city Douala to give their support to incumbent head of state president Paul Biya ahead of the October 12, 2025 presidential elections on the 5th of October 2025 by MP for Nkambe Central, Hon. Ngala Gerard
Hon. Ngala Gerard reminded the North westerners and southwesterners who fled to other regions because of unrealistic promises from separatist activists in 2016. "You must remain true and united and should not fall victim to false promises from detractors again because the majority of you here in Douala is due to the mass exodus that took place in the North West and South West regions of which Douala is topping that chart of those that have relocated due to crisis" Ngala Gerard said.
The MP said it is important for the people to be educated on the need to stay peaceful and maintain the person in power who can ensure a smooth peaceful transition for Cameroon.
Hon. Ngala Gerard urged the North West and South West indigens to come out massively to vote for H.E Paul Biya on October 12.
Dr Roger Mbassa Ndine, City Mayor of Douala, reinforced the call with a focus on urging the Anglophone community to view Douala as their contribution to its development, their second home, and to actively pursue peace and development while maintaining harmony. The City Mayor of Douala noted that the existing peace and harmony Cameroon is enjoying is because of H.E Paul Biya. For Peace, Harmony and Development to be continuous, it is necessary for us all to be wise in casting our decision when casting our votes, so let us all vote for the incumbent head of state, H.E Paul Biya" Hon. Ngala advised the population
Hon. Ngala Gerard expressed gratitude to the Ngondo community incomparable and Legendary hospitality to the people of the North West region. Hon. Ngala Gerard pointed out that as elections are just by the corner, this is a sensitive period which some people consider Douala as a ground for destruction in the pretext of politics exhibiting violence and civil disobedience." Let us not be counted among those who betray their host, let us not associate ourselves with forces of destruction but rather let us stand for peace before, during and after the elections" Ngala Gerard pleaded with the population.
Hon. Ngala Gerard's rally goes is crucial to the peace and serenity of within communities of Cameroon as election campaigns heightens across the ten regions of Cameroon both Division, local and diasporic spheres.
