CPDM Campaigns: Tubah Leaders Vow to Deliver Victory for Paul Biya in October 12 Polls

The ruling Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) launched its campaigns in Tubah, Mezam V Section with a major rally at Icham Hotel on Sunday, September 28, 2025, where party leaders and supporters unanimously declared their support for President Paul Biya's re-election bid. The event, which attracted featured strong endorsements from all and sundry who emphasized Tubah's strategic importance in the upcoming October 12 presidential election.

As the party leaders emphasized what victory would mean to the section, Honorable Agho Oliver, Member of Parliament for Bafut-Tubah constituency, and other CPDM stalwarts articulated their vision for continued support for the Biya administration. The rally also marked a significant expansion of the party's base, with numerous new members officially joining the CPDM ranks during the event.

Honorable Agho Oliver delivered a compelling address that left no doubt about where Tubah stands in the presidential race.

 "Among all twelve candidates running for the presidential elections, only the incumbent President Paul Biya possesses the necessary experience, wisdom, and capability to manage a complex country like Cameroon," he declared to an enthusiastic applause .

The MP went beyond mere endorsement to highlight the concrete benefits that have come to Tubah under the current administration. "We in Tubah are uniquely positioned as the only subdivision that hosts not just a state university, but what we proudly consider the fastest-growing university in Cameroon," Oliver stated, referencing the University of Bamenda located in Tubah subdivision.

To officially launch the campaigns on behalf of the party, Tubah campaign team leader, Andangfung Eric sent a clear message. "Our message, and that of my team, is clear: all of us are going to vote for President Paul Biya on October 12," Adangfung proclaimed. "We have established teams that will conduct one-to-one campaigns, speaking directly with the people throughout the constituency to ensure they vote for our candidate."

The speakers repeatedly emphasized Tubah's considerable electoral influence within the Mezam division. Honorable Agho Oliver highlighted that "Tubah ranks as the third subdivision in Mezam division with the highest number of registered voters," making it a crucial battleground in the upcoming election. This demographic weight grants the constituency substantial political leverage that both local and national campaigns are carefully considering.



The development narrative featured prominently throughout the event, with multiple speakers connecting local progress to national leadership. "We think this is another opportunity for us to show our gratitude to President Biya for thinking of Tubah so dearly," Oliver remarked, suggesting that the constituency's educational and infrastructure developments stem from presidential attention and favourable policies.

Honorable Agho Oliver, who has established himself as a visible advocate for his constituency through various development initiatives, framed the upcoming election in broader terms . "This is the time for us to make the international community know that we support the wisest man in Africa," he stated.

The launch of campaigns in Tubah featured as highlights, the presentation of campaign materials where the CPDM candidate will go with the white ballot paper as well as a detailed explanation of how the voting process will be conducted.

The launch of the campaigns was attended by Achobong Tambeng Paul, City Mayor if Bamenda and Vice President of the Mezam campaign team, Prof Peter Abeti, CPDM Mezam V Section President, Mayor Tanjong Martin of Tubah, Ghejung Awunti, Commissioner for Economic Development at the North West Regional Assembly.
