NWRA signs MoU with CIRECON to drive economic development in the Region

The North West Regional Assembly and the Cameroon Interdisciplinary Research Consultancy Network (CIRECON)  have signed a  Memorandum of Understanding to work towards building and rebranding the region. This was earlier today the 30th of January 2024 at the auditorium of the North West Regional Assembly.

The Purpose of the MoU is to foster National and global development through science-driven, gender inclusive and human based approach to development that ensures an all encompassing  approach to training and sustaining the youth. The MoU shall specifically focus on collaboration in areas of mutual interest to advance gender equality, youth opportunities, better treatment of minorities, sustainable development, fighting disease, poverty, conflicts and discrimination.


The signing ceremony was attended by a host of senior staff from the University of Bamenda and members of the Regional Executive council on the part of NWRA. 

The MOU will strengthen efforts for joint advocacy and support for both parties' programmes in sustainable development and for improved technical cooperation.  

This MoU is also going to help youths explore their talents in various fields, provide grounds for training and entrepreneurship for youths, and also to identify potential vulnerable persons and out of school youths to benefit from specific support in undertaking skill based training at the NWRA.

The MoU was penned on the side of the Regional Assembly by the President, Prof. Fru F. Angwafo III and on the side of CIRECON by its founder, Prof. Nkuo.
