The council is entitled to CFAF 69,745,009 as its required performance threshold.

FCFA 178,854,172 under the first bonus criterion, which involves the redistribution of unallocated balances among the 122 councils assessed that scored at least 70 points.

A further FCFA 62,337,005 comes from the second bonus criterion, involving the reallocation of funds associated with 65 councils that failed to meet the Minimum Mandatory Conditions during the relevant assessment cycle. Councils scoring at least 50 points were eligible under this criterion.

Together, the three components bring Ako Council’s total allocation to CFAF 310,936,186.

The results show strong performance in several key areas of local governance, particularly the execution of the investment budget, revenue collection, financial discipline and citizen participation.

Under Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Monitoring, the council obtained maximum scores in three indicators: control of the wage bill, with 9 out of 9 points; investment budget execution, with 12 out of 12 points; and progress in collecting its own-source revenue, with 10 out of 10 points.

The council also scored full marks for preparing and submitting its Medium-Term Budgetary and Expenditure Framework, earning 4 out of 4 points.

In the area of citizen participation, Ako Council obtained maximum scores for publishing council deliberations, establishing village and neighbourhood committees, and organising the Budget Orientation Debate on time with the required minutes.

These results point to notable strengths in financial management, local participation and the implementation of planned investments.

Despite its strong overall performance, the assessment also identified areas where further improvements could help the council consolidate its position.
