Col Boum Bissoue commissions the new officers

The legion commander of the North West has official commissioned the commanders of the 90th mobile squarion and the commander of the Territorial Gendarmerie Group for Mezam.

Colonel Boum Bissoue Raymond while installing the officers enjoined them to work in close collaboration with the population, safeguard their property and ensure a mutually beneficial relationship.

Lt Col Alobwede

Appointed by Presidential decree No 075/CAB/PR of September 28th, 2022 and by Ministerial order No 2200950/AM of March 31, 2022, Lieutenant Colonel Alobeede Muabe Peter is the new commander of the Territorial Gendarmerie, replacing Onana Conrad who moves to the Littoral.

Lt Col Alobwede hails from Tombel in the South West Region of Cameroon.

Captain Timba Jean Pierre

The 90th Mobile Squarion will be commanded by Captain Timba Jean Pierre.

Timba Jean Pierre who has had a stint in Mbouda and carried out several missions to the North West is coming to a  familiar territory.

Installed on Wednesday 19th October 2022 at the esplanade of the SDO's Office of Mezam, the new territorial commander promised to uphold the cardinal principles of the Gendarmerie which is maximum collaboration with the population.

Onana Conrad

The replaced Onana Conrad was known for his fearless leadership that saw him head several missions to dislodge separatists camps especially in Mforya in Bafut and other hideouts around Mezam.

As he leaves the region, there is an increased collaboration with the Gendarmes and more efforts from his successor might just ensure that red zones like Bafut and other places in Santa and Tubah becomes more calm than now.

The daunting task for the new officers is to ensure that the 6 years old crisis is given a befitting burial in Mezam.
