The former SDF Mayor of Tubah, Tanjong Martin has been elected Mayor of the Council to serve under the banner of the CPDM for the next five years

In an elective council session, Tuesday 18th February 2020, Tanjong Martin recorded 30 votes out of the 33 cast.

In his first media outing after the Elections, he saluted the bravery of the councillors who accepted to run under the CPDM ticket. He challenged them to work together for an improved living condition of their people

In a session chaired by the eldest councillor, Prof Peter Abety, Nelson Nsaboh Aloh was elected as First Deputy Mayor, Abong Esther, Buba Dahiru Gaddafi and Mbengong Rose as second, third and Fourth deputies

They recorded 32 votes of the 33 cast with two councillors absent

It is the first time the CPDM is winning Elections in Tubah, a subdivision that plays host to the University of Bamenda

The supervisory authority, Mezam SDO, Dooh Simon Emile challenged the council executive to provide portable water, hygiene and sanitation to the people of Tubah

He also challenged them to bring the youths on board so that they leave the bushes where they have been fighting the state
