The Archbishop of the Douala Metropolitan Archdiocese, Monsignor Samuel Kleda, accompanied by a college of clergy, has paid a maiden working visit to the award gallery of Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle in Douala.
The visit, which took place on Thursday, September 24, brought together the Catholic prelate and his entourage for a tour of the gallery, which showcases the numerous national and international distinctions received by the renowned lawyer and philanthropist.
Speaking during the visit, Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle expressed profound gratitude to Archbishop Kleda and the delegation for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit the gallery.
He attributed the recognitions he has received over the years to the grace of God, saying that the glory belongs to the Almighty for giving him the opportunity to impact lives and contribute to society.
“Glory goes to God Almighty, who has permitted me to impact the world and receive national and international recognitions,” Sir Nico Halle said.
The legal practitioner and philanthropist also reflected on the values instilled in him by his late father, whom he described as a man of God. According to him, his father taught him the virtues of love, justice and peace, principles which, he said, continue to guide his life and work.
Sir Nico Halle noted that these values have remained central to his commitment to society and his interactions with people from different walks of life.
For his part, Archbishop Samuel Kleda commended Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle for what he described as his contributions to the work of God and society.
The Archbishop used the occasion to speak on the state of justice in Cameroon, expressing concern over what he described as the unfortunate situation in which some courts of justice have become places where injustice is served to the people.
He called on Cameroonians to embrace peace and work collectively towards building a society founded on justice, equity and respect for human dignity.
Archbishop Kleda stressed the importance of peace-loving citizens in creating a society where justice is accessible to all and where people can live together in harmony.
The visit to the award gallery provided an opportunity for the Catholic Church delegation to appreciate the recognitions accumulated by Sir Nico Halle over the years, while also highlighting the shared importance of values such as justice, peace, love and service to humanity.
The engagement between the Archbishop and the renowned lawyer further underscored the need for individuals and institutions to promote ethical leadership, social responsibility and peaceful coexistence in Cameroon.
