TAKAD 2026: Cameroon Sets the Pace for 7th Edition in Douala

Cameroon hosted on Saturday in Douala the solemn launch of the 7th edition of The African Kotas Awards Distinctions (TAKAD), led by its promoter, Hercule Nze Souala.

Held under the slogan "Long Live Africa, Let's Celebrate African Excellence!", the Pan-African platform aims to go beyond trophies.

A Pan-African Economic Platform

For this 7th edition scheduled for December 19, 2026, in Libreville, Gabon, TAKAD wants to make an impact on the real economy of the continent.

"It was a solemn launch, on the valiant and brilliant land of Cameroon. It is about sharing the vision of the Founding Fathers, by honouring the customs, traditions and talents that build African identity," stressed Hercule Nze Souala.

The promoter is calling on artists, sportsmen, entrepreneurs, innovators, influencers and decision-makers to transform their visibility into business opportunities in an increasingly integrated African market.

10,000 Participants Expected in Libreville

For Libreville, organizers announced a system involving 80 service providers and over 10,000 expected participants.

"There are enormous opportunities. I call on startups, developers, entrepreneurs and African event professionals to contribute to Africa's development and win markets," he insisted.

After Abidjan, which hosted the 6th edition on January 23, 2026, the momentum continues between Cameroon and Gabon, with promotional missions in the CEMAC zone to connect value creators, investors, donors and new talents.

"TAKAD is a platform for connection between entrepreneurs, donors, young entrepreneurs, artists and influencers who make up the African continent," the promoter summarized.

From Mali to Burkina Faso, from Congo to Côte d'Ivoire, from Cameroon to Gabon, delegations are already drawing a continental network.

"In the next editions, we will come here to Cameroon so that the continent also solemnly welcomes Africa," concluded Hercule Nze Souala.

In Douala, the message is clear: TAKAD no longer just wants to reward Africa that succeeds. It intends to network Africa that undertakes, invests, innovates and creates jobs.
