Three senior military officers from Cameroon's North West Region have been entrusted with strategic responsibilities following the latest appointments and transfers within the country's defence forces.
The changes, announced by the President of the Republic, see the officers either retained or appointed to key positions considered crucial to the command and administration of the defense forces.
Among the notable appointments is Major General Ivo Yenwo Desancio, who has been maintained as the Director of Presidential Security (DSP). The Directorate of Presidential Security is responsible for the protection of the Head of State, the Presidency and other strategic state institutions, making it one of the most sensitive security units in the country.
Also affected by the reshuffle is Brigadier General Agha Robinson Ndong, who leaves his position as Commander of the 4th Joint Military Region to take up new responsibilities as Logistics Adviser at the Central Administration. His new assignment places him at the heart of military planning and logistics, a critical area that supports the operational readiness of the armed forces.
