The ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in Mezam IV, Bafut, held a mega rally on the eve of the Presidential Election, with militants pledging total victory for President Paul Biya.
Speaking during the rally, Saturday 11th October 2025, the Women’s Wing (WCPDM) Section President, Chesi Miriam, expressed confidence that the CPDM will achieve a “double victory” at the polls. She lauded President Paul Biya for his continued promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women in Cameroon.
“President Biya has given equal opportunities to both men and women. Here in Bafut, women have benefitted immensely from his leadership, including through initiatives such as the health voucher program. We stand firmly behind him,” she declared.
For his part, the Youth Wing (YCPDM) President, Kongni Herman, emphasized the crucial role of young people in determining the outcome of the election. He said the conclusion of a vigorous campaign marks a defining moment for the youth of Bafut, whose empowerment remains a priority of the Biya administration.
“The Youth Empowerment Centre recently created is proof that President Biya believes in young people. Tomorrow’s victory belongs to the youth because the future is theirs,” he said.
Addressing the rally, the CPDM Section President for Mezam IV Bafut, Ngwakongoh Lawrence, reaffirmed the party’s determination to secure a landslide victory.
“The purpose of today’s mega rally is to remind all militants that we are going for a 100 percent vote for our National Chairman, President Paul Biya, the panacea of development in Bafut. The massive turnout today is clear evidence that victory is already ours,” he stated confidently.
In the same vein, Hon. Gordon Chebelem described President Biya as “the ideal choice” for the nation’s continued progress.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the power of their dreams. President Biya has a vision, and we are committed to following it. His remarkable achievements merit another mandate to make Cameroon, and Bafut in particular, a paradise,” he affirmed.
Adding his voice, Chenwi Samuel, President of President Paul Biya’s Campaign Team in Mezam IV, said the CPDM’s slogan of victory perfectly captures the spirit of the party.
“Our party’s slogan says it all, victory is certain. The militants are on the benefiting side while the President is on the working side. We are aiming for nothing less than 100 percent victory. The enthusiasm and unity we’ve seen today prove that we mean business, and that business is voting for President Paul Biya,” Chenwi declared to loud applause.
The rally, marked by music, dance, and declarations of loyalty, brought together CPDM supporters from all villages in Bafut, showcasing the party’s organizational strength and unwavering support for President Paul Biya ahead of election day.
