The Prime Minister Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute will launch the construction of the 6.2km Bamenda Urban Crossing on Wednesday 17th September 2025.
The long awaited project which has suffered major delays due to the imposed 32 metres width road by Municipal authorities, has been a major cause for concern to inhabitants of Bamenda who suffer from persistent dust in the dry season and mud in the rainy season. The poor state of the road has greatly hampered economic activities in Bamenda as cars are frequently broken down.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation of the road at Veterinary junction.
Joseph Dion Ngute will also visit other road infrastructure projects in Bamenda, including the reception of the 26 billion Bamenda-Babadjou road, the inspection of the Ecole Des Champions- Amour Mezam stretch which is 54% gone.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the construction of the administrative bloc of the Mile 4 market, the official reception of the Mile 4 bridge which has been a nightmare to students and denizens, forced to stay on either side of the bridge when it rains.
The visit of Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute to Bamenda comes exactly two months after his previous visit where he chaired the 7th steering committee meeting of the Presidential Plan for Reconstruction and Development, PPRD.
