The Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, has made his first public appearance in the region in over two years and six months.
He accompanied the Prime Minister, Head of Government to the Region for the inauguration of some road infrastructure projects consisting of the Bamenda-Babadjou road, the Welcome to Bamenda- Tradex and to launch the construction of the Bamenda Urban bypass while visiting other ongoing projects in the region.
Paul Atanga Nji accompanied the Prime Minister to all the project sites and was visibly satisfied with the level of execution of these projects.
Supporters of President Paul Biya and the CPDM could be seen hovering around the Minister of interior, getting pictures and sharing souvenirs.
The last time the Minister made a public stopover in Bamenda was in a build up to the March 12th 2023 Senatorial elections.
Once known as a man who was in Bamenda every March and November to either celebrate the anniversary of the CPDM or the anniversary of the ascension to the supreme Magistracy of the Head of State, Paul Atanga Nji has however taken a more reserved position in matters of the CPDM in Mezam where he was appointed Permanent Divisional Head following his elevation to the position of Minister of Territorial Administration, charged with overseeing the functioning of all political entities in country.
From Matazem to Mile Four and the Veterinary Junction, the Minister shared pleasantries and in some instances was seen supporting the local traders.
The presence of Paul Atanga Nji the one known to have galvanized Mezam for President Paul Biya ushered a lot of hope on the faces of his supporters and those of the President of the Republic.
The MINAT Boss is the Government's arm in the organization of the forthcoming presidential elections on October 12.
