Bamenda III Municipality emerged as the only SDF and opposition run council in the North West Region after the 2020 Municipal and legislative elections.
To the CPDM party leaders in the subdivision, it is a worrisome situation that needs to be corrected at the 2025 Presidential Elections and the 2026 Municipal and legislative elections.
Che Ndaka Nicolas, the CPDM Section President in a meeting organized with the youth leaders of Nkwen on Thursday 31st July 2025, said a lot of focus has shifted from the municipality to other municipalities of the North West.
"When you take a closer look at how some other municipalities have advanced even with the crisis, you will understand that we need to vote with focus and determination. We need to know what we want and vote what we need." The section President said.
Che Ndaka Nicolas called on the youths to focus on their future by voting wisely and voting for the CPDM.
"We are talking about politics here. You scratch my back, I scratch your own. So this is the time for us to scratch the back of the governing CPDM so that after the twin elections in 2026, they will scratch our own." The section President was categoric.
Che Ndaka Nicolas, a member of the North West Regional Assembly was accompanied by the Fon of Nkwen, Member of the House of Chiefs.
Fon Azehfor III who is the custodian of the culture of the Nkwen people and the interlocutor between the living and his ancestors said to the young people, "it is also my responsibility to guide our sons and daughters to the path I think can bring prosperity to this Kingdom and also to my sons and daughters. We have started the communication today and I think we will need to lay emphasis on it in future. Nkwen as a Fondom needs to regain its place on the map of the Region and the country." Fon Azehfor III said.
As the Section President and His Majesty the Fon strategize for the upcoming elections, they were accompanied by members of the CPDM, WCPDM and YCPDM sections.
