Hon. Chebelem Gordon Ayele has been awarded a Masters degree with specialisation in National Economy and Public Management from the Advanced Program of Specialisation in Public Finance (PSSFP) of the University of Yaounde II.
Chebelem Gordon Ayele graduated with some 314 others who have completed the course in the 7th, 8th and 9th batches of the school, whose mentorship was placed under the Honourable Moutymbo Rosette Julienne Epouse Ayayi, President of the Finance and Budget Commission at the National Assembly.

Herself, a finance expert, graduate of ENAM with specialisation in the Treasury, Hon Rosette Julienne Ayayi served in various sectors of national life and also as the Interim Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance.
Speaking to the laureates, Hon Ayayi called on them to be exemplary as only those who are exceptional will go far. She applauded the synergy that exists between researchers and parliamentarians saying; "University research and the work of parliamentarians is complimentary. Their research guides us to debate properly and helps us to open parliamentary commissions of inquiry." The member of Parliament since 2007 said.
Speaking earlier, the Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the University of Yaounde II, Prof Desire Avom said the coming of the COVID-19 pandemic greatly changed the course of the institution that adapted to distance learning and technology. Prof Avom congratulated the laureates for their perseverance and said ;" they are ready for the job market. Ready to defend the good use of public funds and ready to put their expertise in the preparation and control of public finances." Prof Desire Avom said.
The graduation ceremony was witnessed amongst others by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Finance, Yaouba Abdoulaye who chaired the graduation ceremony. He was accompanied by the Secretary General at the Ministry of Higher Education, Representing the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education and Chancellor of Academic Orders.
To Minister Yaouba Abdoulaye, "You have been trained to stop the theft and mismanagement of public funds. I implore you to follow the footsteps of your mentor, Hon Ayayi, and put at the service of our country, the best versions of you." Minister Abdoulaye said, officially elevating the 315 laureates to holders of a Masters in Public Finance.
The certificate to Chebelem Gordon Ayele, Member of the North West Regional Assembly and Elite of Bafut, is not just a common distinction.
"As a politician, we must be prudent at managing what the state puts at our disposal. We must be effective and moreso, efficient. This certificate means a lot to me. First, I am an entrepreneur. It will help me make important financial decisions that will help grow my business." Hon. Chebelem said.
Before obtaining his Masters in Public Finance, Hon. Chebelem is a Telecom engineer, currently serving at the North West Regional Delegation of Public Works.
His knack for more knowledge, he says, is to better his community back in Bafut by impacting the world with better financial decisions. He dedicated the certificate to the people of Bafut for their resilience, calling on kids to remain in school and be like him tomorrow.
Graduating with this certificate means that Hon. Chebelem Gordon Ayele has obtained two Masters degrees in three years from two prestigious state institutions.
In March 2025 , he defended a master degree in engineering management from the National Advanced School of Public Works(ENSTP)-Yaounde as a transfer of technology partnership with Golden Gate University San Francisco California USA. He was then awarded a partial scholarship to pursue a doctorate in California USA.
The Advanced Program of Specialisation in Public Finance (PSSFP) has graduated the 315 experts in five domains; Management of Public contracts and public-private partnerships, Management of the State Treasury, Financial and Monetary cooperation, control of the insurance sector and microfinance.
The 7th, 8th, and 9th batches handed over to the 10th, 11th, and 12th badges the flag of the Republic, symbolizing the continuation of excellence and probity.
