Canada-Africa summit: Mayor Chenwi Peter selected as Guest Speaker



The first edition of the Canada-Africa summit opens in Toronto, Ontario on the 2nd July 2025.

For three days, business senior decision makers including Chief Executive offices, Managing Directors, Ministers of various governments, Governors, Mayors, Heads of marketing structures and promotions, Directors Generals of various institutions amongst others will be taking part in the summit.

Amongst the key speakers in the summit is Mayor Chenwi Peter of Bamenda II. Invited thanks to his twinning partnership with some councils in Brampton and Ontario, the Mayor will be expected to present on the potentials of his Municipality as well the areas that need cooperation.

Areas of interest include renewable energy and sustainability, Real Estate and Urban Development, Health care and Life Services, Manufacturing and Advanced Technologies, Logistics and transportation, waste management and recycling. 

Mayor Chenwi Peter of Bamenda II will be speaking alongside some other Africans like Ambassador Daudi Carolyne, Kenya High commissioner to Canada, Tobias Alando, CEO of Kenya Association of Manufacturers, Adedayo Olusegun, Financial Advisor of Nigeria. They will be joined by other key stakeholders from Canada.

The summit seeks to promote trade and investment between Canada and Africa through world class networking featuring quality panel discussions and collaborative meetings on the sidelines.
