The state of Cameroon has decorated the Mayor of Bamenda I, Mbigha Njah Felix as Knight of the Cameroon order of Merit.
The medal conferred on the seasoned Mayor of the Bamenda I Municipality comes after his immense contributions to the realization of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Filling Centre of Bamenda.
For a little over two years, Mayor Mbigha Felix has paid countless visits to the site, ensuring that work was accelerating at the agreed pace and ensuring that the workers were in good shape.
The medal was handed to Mayor Mbigha Felix by the Minister of Water Resources and Energy, Gaston Elundou Essomba, Personal representative of Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on the occasion of the inauguration of the Bamenda Gas plant.
The public recognition of Mayor Mbigha adds to the enormous work of modernizing Bamenda I through the provision of basic social amenities like the provision of portable water, extension of electricity, the opening of roads and construction of bridges.
Mayor Mbigha's stewardship at the Bamenda I Council has been nothing but remarkable.
