Members of the North West Regional Assembly have voted for the House tohand an envelope of Two Million cash to PWD of Bamenda and One million Francs to Bafmeng United.
The decision is contained in one of five deliberations adopted Thursday 13th July 2023, as the ordinary session of the assembly drew to a close.
The adoption of this deliberation comes to add to the over 41 million francs contributed by Elites and friends of the North West Region led by Minister Felix Mbayu
A day earlier, North West Governor Adolphe Lele LAfrique called on the councillors to deepen their hands into their pockets and support these two teams like they did in 2021.
A clarion call well received by the Executive and members of the house.
In 2021, the North West Regional Assembly supported PWD Bamenda in their first ever triumph at the cup of Cameroon. The House later that year mobilized massively to push Rangers FC of Bafut to Elite Two.
PWD of Bamenda qualified to play against Fovu of Baham in the finals of the Cup of Cameroon while Bafmeng United stunned Bang Bullet to book a ticket at the National interpools for the first time in their history.
Bafmeng United will compete in Group B of the National interpools.
