Senatorial Elections: Former YCPDM Mezam I Section President, Chima Ernest, Declares for Senate

Chima Ernest of Chima International Group of companies is the first to openly declare for the March 12th Senatorial Elections.

The 46 year old who has spent all his youth as a member of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, the CPDM says he is taking a challenge to give a voice to the Cameroonian youth.

He has had a steady rise in the CPDM over the last 26 years propelling him to the top of the youth wing.

Chima after an exemplary leadership as Branch President, rose to the rank of YCPDM Section President of the then Mezam I comprising of the present Day Mezam IA, B and C with 31 sub-sections.

Chima Ernest currently runs a garbage disposal company that clears garbage from the streets of Bamenda II.

The company currently recruits young boys and girls who work tirelessly to ensure that the town is clean.

He is a holder of the a Bachelor's degree in the English language and current sub-section president of Tsa-Tsa in Mankon.

After a decree of the President of the Republic last 13th January 2023, those vying for the Upper House of Parliament have 15 days to submit their candidatures to the relevant state authorities.

This will be the third time that Cameroon is Organising senate elections after 2013 and 2018.

Each region will have 10 senators, 7 elected and 3 appointed by the President of the Republic.
