The Secretary General of the CPDM Central committee has staged a spectacular come back to the Bamenda Commercial Avenue Grand Stand for the first time since 2016.

In 2016, the scribe of the party of the glowing flame attempted to stage a political rally at the commercial avenue unsuccessfully as thousands of persons emptied themselves to the streets, forcing the rally to be cancelled.

Jean Kuete has paid several other visits to the North West especially during the Campaigns for the 2018 Presidential Elections and the 2020 Legislative and Municipal elections and the Bamenda Congress Hall and the esplanade of the Ayaba Hotel served as venues.

After his visit in 2020, the CPDM won 33 of the 34 municipal councils in the North West and 18 of the 20 parliamentary seats.

His return at the Bamenda Commercial Avenue, this time successful, is to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the ascension of President Paul Biya to the supreme magistracy of the state.

Celebrated under the theme: "Let us further strengthen our mobilisation behind President Paul Biya to jointly pursue a nation building actions with one heart, peace and stability under the prism and spirit of National New Deal"

The population

President Paul Biya's achievements have been highlighted in Bamenda praising him of his Decentralization strides, granting the North West of a special status, the office of the Public Independent Concillator and the creation of numerous schools, health centres and most recently, a gas plant.

Since the advent of the 6 year old Anglophone crisis, the CPDM is the only political party that has been animating the political scene in the North West

Reasons why the celebration in Bamenda in 2022 has taken a regional conotation with represention from all the 7 Divisions of the North West.
