Former Yong Sports Academy player and emblematic supporter of the club, Chi Chinda François Mitterand has been named Vice President of the club.

In a statement released, Saturday 19th March 2022 by the media unit of the team, the business guru is coming into the board to add to the experience and determination of the management to move the team to another level.

Largely seen as one of the supporters who rallied fans to YOSA's first away victory last season in Douala against Astres, Chi Mitterand also galvanized fans to a groundbreaking come together earlier this month in a common meal between the players, management and supporters.

Before rallying everyone on board, he had gifted 5 million francs to the supporters club to better organise their activities this year.

When news of his appointment hit social media, fans and supporters of YOSA have been writing messages of goodwill, saluting management for this extraordinary announcement, coming at the start of a new football season in Cameroon.

"A square peg in a square hole" are the words of Coach Ngwa Remy

"he deserves it, his passion and motivation during today’s friendly match was something else" wrote Tamah Collins, Deputy Media officer of the team.

Based in Libreville Gabon, Chi Mitterand has quickly gained the admiration of fans and supporters as his largesse destined to the growth of the team has been remarkable.

He joins Afuhmbom Yong Francis to lead the team this season whose ambition is to win the Cameroon league title for the first time.

Chi Mitterand was last seen in a friendly match where YOSA lost to the National Team of Chad 0-1.
