Bamenda II Council intensify road maintenance works.

The Mayor of the Bamenda II Council, Chenwi Peter is currently stepping up road maintenance works that  he initiated few months back.

Wednesday 28th October 2020 saw the maintenance works extended to the veterinary junction which has been a nightmare for months now.

"We will fill the potholes from Vetinary Junction to Ngeng Junction while the city Mayor will be taking care of Sonac street" the Mayor told The Observer

He started the maintenance work at the Ayaba stretch two weeks ago to the delight of commuters.

"Driving in Bamenda is very tiring. It is impossible to drive for a week without visiting a garage. Ngeng, veterinary, Ayaba street, T-Junction and Sonac street, have the worst roads in town. I appreciate the Mayor for making this road better than yesterday" , Tosam, a taxi driver, told The Observer

Mayor Chenwi Peter further says the road is part of the 12km road to be tarred in the city, a contract that has already been awarded. "The works are temporal to ensure that cars can circulate better while waiting for the reconstruction works to start"

Sonac street is being rendered passable by the Bamenda City council with hope that attention will be paid to the T-Junction stretch in the days ahead.
