Back To School: "No Education, No Future," Bamenda I Mayor Tells Stakeholders


Didactic Materials distributed to schools


The Mayor of Bamenda I Municipality, Mbigha Felix has called on his people to follow the footsteps of others and send their kids to school as no community can develop without educated people

He made the call as he distributed the minimum packages, made of Didactic materials to some Eight public schools in the Bamenda I council area

"Education is the key to success. We are all successful today because we went to school. Even in war, schools are given a priority. Youth are the future leaders of tomorrow" he pointed out

The council has carried out disinfection of schools within the Municipality ahead of an effective back to school next Monday October 5

"This is just a bit of what we started by disinfecting schools against the COVID-19 pandemic. We supported the youth to clean the schools and today we want teachers to know that the council is behind them" the Mayor continued

Head teachers receiving Minimum packages for their respective schools

The Mayor also promised to visit privately owned institutions and support them when classes begin

Agnes Lum Atanga, inspector of Basic Education called on the head teachers to effectively manage the materials put at their disposal as vigorous checks will be done through out the academic year

Bamenda I Municipality has never suffered from school boycott that has been recorded in other Municipalities across the North West Region
