West Region; Road Accident Claims Three

A Road Accident in the evening of Sunday 15th March 2020 has claimed the lives of three on the road linking Baleveng and Dschang in the Menoua Division of the West Region

A Toyota Hilux which was over speeding knock  down a bike, killing three in the process

Local authorities are yet to make a statement on this latest happening

Road accidents are recurrent on both National and Regional roads in Cameroon

On the 5th March 2018, then Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakari through a press conference in Yaounde revealed that over the past eight years, 22,314 road accidents occurred in Cameroon with a death toll of 8,669, an average of 1,000 killed per year.

The Minister in charge of Transport, Jean Ernest M. Ngalle Bibehe has launched several road safety Campaigns to curb the phenomenon of road accidents

The National Gendamerie on several highways are fighting against over speeding which is a root cause of accidents. Defaulters are fine huge sums ranging from 25,000 Frs and above
