COVID-19: NW Governor signs Restrictions



The Governor of the North West Region, Adolphe Lele L'Afrique has laid down measures to contain the spread of the Coronavirus to the North West Region

In a communique published Sunday 22nd March 2020, the North West Chief Executive placed limitations on persons traveling into the Region as the Land, water and air boundaries of the Region have been closed till further notice

Trucks transporting goods of basic necessity will be allowed to ply the roads entering the North West Region

Health personnels have been placed at every entry point into the Region to screen against the Coronavirus and also disinfect passengers



Weddings, burials and other ceremonies should be avoided.  If is of utmost necessity, those attending should be less than 50.

Leisure and sporting activities together with church services and masses have been prohibited across the Region


The Governor however warns that price hikes will not be tolerated because of these measures

Travel agencies will be disinfected if they must be engaged in Urban transportation

Cameroon has recorded 56 cases of the virus according to Public Health Minister, Dr. Manaouda Malachie

Constantly washing of hands is a serious measure to curb the spread of the virus
