Graduates of the highly professional Yaounde-based higher professional institution of learning, ICT University, have finally received certificates vetted by the University if of Buea, UB.
The certificates were handed to hundreds of graduates at a grandiose ceremony Friday July 31 in Yaunde. The event brought together several personalities among them respected preacher, Apostle John Chi.
Speaking at the event, the President and Founder of ICT University, Prof Victor Mbarika, thanked Apostle John Chi for gracing the event, noting that it shows the love he has for the institution.
Prof Mbarika also said the ICT University holds the man of God in high esteem. “We are happy to have Apostle John Chi here today. Despite the short notice he was able to make himself available. The award handed to him today is to celebrate his legacy and the work he does for young people. His presence means a lot to us,” Prof Mbarika stated.
Commenting on the past tussle with the University of Buea, UB, Prof Victor Mbarika underpinned that old things have passed away and behold all things are new.
He stated that: "People usually focus on the negative aspects of an issue and forget the real issues. But today everything is fine. We thank the University of Buea for their maturity exhibited”.
The international scholar said, “… we have the certificates signed by UB which is a very prestigious institution. All we can say now the graduates have their certificates and they should use it where need be"
The graduates were grateful that after years of waiting, their certificates are finally out. One of them, Fossi Joyceline, said the certificate will enable her to further studies.
"…We have been waiting for a very long time, but thank God the certificates are out. I can now further my studies because I have a backup," Fossi stated.
Another graduate, Ayuk Enow, said: "It is very relieving seeing that our certificates are been signed by the University of Buea. We have been wondering, but today we are now convinced. I can breathe a sigh of relief because the certificate is actually worked for is with me."
Uphold God In Service To Society
The man of God, Apostle John Chi, in his part, appreciated the founder and president of ICT University, Prof Victor Mbarika, for allowing God to use him to impact lives and grow society.
Apostle John Chi also said that Prof Victor Mbarika is a vessel God is using to transform the youths to be purposeful in the service of the society.
"…I am amazed with the reception I have received here. It is a testament to the educational atmosphere that reigns here. I use this opportunity to thank the President of the institution, Prof Victor Mbarika, for allowing God to use him to impact lives. I pray God continues to increase in him as he serves the country Cameroon," Apostle John Chi said.
Apostle John Chi exhorted graduates to use the knowledge acquired to serve humanity and be an example to their peers. Apostle John Chi reminded that the first prosperity in life should be at the level of one’s spiritual life.
“…Also include God in your decision-making, and you will succeed. So, as you go into the society know your strongest tool is the word of God accompanied by the skills you have gathered here. Use it to grow society," the preacher stated.
Apostle John Chi told the graduates to avoid bad company, which could corrupt good manners. He maintained that: “…Success doesn't start from outside it starts within with purposeful actions and determined steps. So take the right steps to move far in this journey. "
To the parents Apostle John Chi highlighted that they have to be a support to their children as they serve in the society. " Parents should be stand by this children. They have a fragile mind, and they need to be guided for them to go far in this their journey," the Apostle noted.
