In recognition of exceptional humanitarian service and compassionate leadership, Nchofon Mingoh has been presented with the Administrative Magnanimity Award at the International Icon Award 2025, organized by The Vanguard Media Group.
The prestigious recognition celebrates Mingoh’s outstanding administrative humility and dedication to the effective management of a humanitarian center focused on the care and support of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). According to the award citation, the honor was bestowed “in recognition of your administrative humility with respect to the management of the Humanitarian Center and the treatment of the Internally Displaced Persons.”
Speaking at the ceremony, the organizers underscored the exclusivity and credibility of the International Icon Awards, stressing that the honors are reserved strictly for individuals who have distinguished themselves through nation-building initiatives and selfless service to humanity. They disclosed that although thousands of nominations were received from both national and international candidates, the selection process was guided by stringent criteria and a rigorous screening exercise conducted by the jury.
According to the organizers, only 15 individuals eventually met the high standards required for the awards, making the recognition one of the most prestigious acknowledgements of excellence in leadership and community service. They noted that the limited number of recipients reflects the awards’ commitment to honoring only personalities whose contributions have made a tangible and lasting impact on society.
Receiving the award, an appreciative Nchofon Mingoh expressed gratitude to The Vanguard Media Group for recognizing his commitment to serving humanity. He described the award as a humbling experience and a call to greater responsibility rather than a final achievement.
“I want to state here that this award is not an end to my journey but simply a motivation for me to do better,” Mingoh said.
He further pledged to continue improving the institution under his leadership while ensuring that everyone who seeks services from his office is treated with dignity, professionalism, and compassion.
“I promise to take the institution I lead to greater heights, and anyone who comes to my office for service will always go back smiling because serving humanity is my top priority,” he affirmed.
Mingoh added that he considers the award a wake-up call to work even harder in advancing humanitarian causes, emphasizing that genuine leadership is measured by the positive difference it makes in the lives of ordinary people.
The award certificate, signed by Colday Olivier Ndofekeh, Chairman of the Jury, and Chifu Edward Chungfu, VAMEG CEO, further attests to the significance of the recognition.
As humanitarian challenges continue to demand dedicated and compassionate leadership, the recognition of Nchofon Mingoh stands as a testament to the impact of selfless service. His unwavering commitment to ensuring that every individual who walks into his office leaves with hope and satisfaction reflects the very ideals celebrated by the International Icon Awards. By joining the select group of just 15 recipients chosen from thousands of nominees, Mingoh’s recognition serves as an inspiration to current and future leaders committed to building stronger communities through humility, integrity, and service to humanity.
