The Boyo III Section of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, CPDM, has unanimously pledged its total and unflinching support to President Paul Biya as their natural candidate for the upcoming 2025 presidential elections.

The declaration of loyalty was made during a massive campaign launch held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at the Fundong Council Chambers.

The event was presided over by the Mayor of Fundong, Denis Awoh Ndang, in the presence of the Senior Divisional Officer for Boyo, represented by the second assistant Makoge Kenneth M, and in the presence of a cross-section of administrative, political, traditional, and religious authorities.

"There is no opposition party, non that's valid and visible in Fundong, how many parties are going in for the presidential election, 12 in number, when you remove CPDM, we have 11 other parties and the highest opposition we have here is the SDF, and since 1992, that the SDF last had approximately 20%, they have never  attended that percentage again, they are gradually dying down, so tell me can such a party produce a president?. The answer is no. This is a good indication that there's no party that's fit for the prestigious job of the president of the republic other than president Paul Biya, statistics have proven that all the so called opposition parties are eating from the system (CPDM). Every opposition has a small sphere of influence, most of them will benefit from the campaign money and enriched themselves and allow their supporters to go home hungry.

Biya is a cover that has provided us with numerous projects and lots of other benefits, so a vote for Biya is a vote for the continuation of the meaningful development we are enjoying today and in the future". Said Ndang.

The ceremony brought together CPDM militants, elites, women’s wings, youth wings, and sympathizers from across the section, who came out in their numbers to reaffirm their faith in the leadership and vision of President Paul Biya, a man they described as experienced, peace-loving, and the right person to continue steering the affairs of the nation.

In his keynote address, Mayor Denis Awoh Ndang, called on party faithful to remain steadfast, united, and mobilized for a resounding victory in the 2025 polls. He emphasized that the CPDM remains the party of stability, development, and national unity, and that Boyo Division will once again demonstrate its loyalty to the Head of State through massive turnout and support come October 12th 2025.

The various wings of the CPDM of Boyo III section, Madam Fuchi Comfort (WCPDM President), Wainmoh Ernest, (YCPDM President) Charege des mission, Madam Nten Matilda N. and divisional charger des mission, Gama Gerard alongside regional councillor, Fuchi Emmanuel, commended the spirit of discipline and political maturity demonstrated by the militants, urged them to translate their enthusiasm into concrete action through civic participation for the upcoming presidential election on October 12th 2025.

Speeches, songs of praise, and messages of solidarity characterized the event, which ended with the adoption of a motion of support, unanimously calling on President Paul Biya to be the party’s flag bearer for the 2025 presidential race, with promises of a landslide victory in Boyo Division.
