At a rally in Alahting, the Senator was emphatic that the development of Bamenda I had been in motion over the last 12 years since the CPDM took over the  council.

"The achievements of the CPDM in Bamenda I are overwhelming. The various quarters are interconnected with good roads. Pipe borne water is flowing and the population is enjoying it. Electricity has been extended and I can say we are on a good path. To say the least, the CPDM fought for peace in this subdivision and achieved it. Reasons why they have been an influx of people here, leading to substantial development." Senator Mrs Nebah told the electorates.

She continued her campaign by telling the population that President Paul Biya believes in the youth and the women. Reasons why she was endorsed by the party to become the first female elected Senator from Mezam. She reminded them that during her tenure as Technical Adviser to the Minister of Women's Empowerment and the family, a women's empowerment centre was given to the population of Bamendakwe. She encouraged all and sundry to get their children and women trained at the center which is fully equipped.

Over the last few months, the Bamenda I subdivision has seen the completion of the liquefied gas plant, the construction of the Bamenda I Municipal Stadium in Atougoulah, the commencement of the Bamendakwe main market, the ongoing construction of the dual carriage way from Welcome to Bamenda through Akumbele, to Ecole Des Champions and the new road. Projects which the senator listed are sufficient for the Bamendakwe man to vote overwhelmingly for President Paul Biya.

"Politics na Njangi. President Paul Biya has scratched the backs of the Bamendakwe man. It is time we scratch his own." She noted.

City Councillor Tamajong Pius

Speaking as he accompanied the senator on the campaign trail, Tamajong Pius, coordinator of Zone 2, said that President Paul Biya has started the Decentralization drive and will be strengthened during his next term.

"When you go to the polls on the 12th October, ensure you vote for white ballot paper. That is your power, that is your voice. Let no one tell you otherwise." Tamanjong Pius said.

The campaign team lead by Senator Mrs Nebah received a boost from the Mayor of Bamenda I and his deputies. They called on all and sundry to get their voter cards ready while encouraging them to be at the polling stations early.
