The Honourable Member of Parliament for Nkambe Central, Hon Ngala Gerard has appreciated the achievements of the Presidential Plan for Reconstruction and Development, the PPRD.

Speaking to the Press in Bamenda, the MP highlighted that the plan has greatly contributed to the advancement of peace and social cohesion in the North West Region.

"Nkambe where I come from was one of the first beneficiaries of the plan because we had a conducive environment for these projects to kick off. So we are very happy today to carry out an evaluation of the projects with the Prime Minister.

"Of course this evaluation gives the population the right to see for themselves and also to know what the future holds for the plan." Hon Ngala said.

He went forward to praise the detailed presentation done by Minister Paul Tasong, President of the steering committee of the PPRD.

"We were very satisfied with his mastery. He gave a succinct presentation of what had been spent and what will be spent." The MP continued.

Nkambe and the rest of Donga Mantung continue to top the chart in enrollment of students and pupils largely because of the work done to maintain peace and consolidate it.

To other communities still dragging their feet, Hon Ngala said; "to those who still go around kidnapping and doing all sorts of criminal things, they should stop. They have now taken this as a business. Kidnapping their brothers and sisters for ransom. This is barbaric. Let this stop. Those doing such acts will face justice. I call on the communities to work with all the security officers, the administrative Authorities, elected officials to stamp out criminality from our environment." Hon Ngala emphasized.

Nkambe has grown tremendously both in infrastructure, health care, school enrollment thanks to the efforts of the members and the Elites to stamp out insecurity from the subdivision.

Donga Mantung Division now enjoys its ring road project which is under construction from Kumbo to Ndu, Ndu to Nkambe and Nkambe to Misaje.

Hon Ngala Gerard used the PPRD 7th steering committee meeting to call on the region to support the National President of the CPDM, President Paul Biya when he declares his candidature for the 2025 Presidential elections.

"Let us support the Head of State because it is now clear that his has an ambitious plan for our region.

"The plan is clear that he is working for the interest of the population. The PPRD sends a strong message that we can develop even in crisis. Where will the North West be if we didn't get into this? Let's have a rethink." the MP remarked.

Schools, health centres, water points, roads and impacting the lives of young persons through recovery are some of the contributions of the PPRD to the people of Nkambe which Hon Ngala Gerard appreciates.
