Rev Teneng Lucas appreciating the Mayor and other donors

Rev Teneng Lucas, Presbyterian Secretary for Mezam Presbytery enjoined the Christians to rise like never before, for the construction and completion of project.

Rev Teneng Lucas acknowledged that during the launched of the project to construct a new manse which will be transformed into a Guest house, the Mayor of Bamenda II Council, Chenwi Peter donated 100 bags of cement to the project. It is this donation, he said, that triggered the idea of constructing a more befitting Manse that will also serve as a Secretariat for the Presbytery.

Invited to speak on the occasion, Mayor Chenwi Peter said his support to the project is not a gift but an obligation.

"Thank God for his intervention. I didn't know I will be a Mayor today. Since I come from a humble background. I need to give back to God. As a Mayor, I have to ensure that we collectively build the house of God. Its an obligation.", Mayor Chenwi Peter said.

"I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the church for their constant prayers and support. I have spent 47 years in this church and it will give me great joy when we see it move from one height to another." Mayor Chenwi Peter added.

His announcement was met with a standing ovation as the Christians celebrated him for continuous, unconditional support to the church.

The fundraiser was immediately followed by the laying of the foundation stone of pillars at the site.
