CAMTEL signs partnership with FECAFOOT to sponsor Corporate, Veteran football

Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL has signed a one year partnership with the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, to sponsor the inaugural edition of the Corporate and Veteran football in the country organized by the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.


The one year partnership with the option of renewal was signed Monday, April 17, 2023, between the General Manager of CAMTEL, Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi and FECAFOOT President, Samuel Eto'o Fils.



During the signing ceremony, CAMTEL's General Manager, Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi said the partnership is an eloquent proof of CAMTEL's willingness as the incumbent operator and key player in the telecommunications sector, to lend their support to the ambitious projects of FECAFOOT and it's President, Samuel Eto'o.

"We are extremely pleased with the signing of this partnership with FECAFOOT. We want support football as we have been regularly doing with other sports disciplines", Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi said.

On his part, FECAFOOT represented by its President, Samuel Eto'o Fils appreciated CAMTEL for believing in their ambitious project aimed at giving a new image to football in Cameroon.

"We have happy to have CAMTEL for trusting us as we prepare to launch the first edition of the Corporate and Veteran championship", Samuel Eto'o said.

The signing of the partnership agreement this Monday April 17, 2023, came as a result of fruitful discussions between both parties on January 6, 2023, where Samuel Eto'o presented his his vision for Cameroon football and avenues available for CAMTEL to accompany him in his mission.


CAMTEL will therefore make it's first step with the Blue Corpo championship; the Corporate and Veteran football championships organised by FECAFOOT.


The tournament will take place in the Centre, Littoral, South, South West, Adamawa and North regions as participating teams will battle for the top prize.
