In the past years, the inhabitants of this municipality have had water crisis and poor road network as a major resistance which is what Mayor Mbigha Felix plans to resolve come 2022.

Bamenda 1 Council which covers Bamendakwe village has a Health District and operates a theater. To this effect the Council has launched an appeal to all Elite of Bamendakwe to support the dreams of the council in accomplishing dreams of the council in developing the hospital to it's full potential.

"I want to still use this opportunity to plead on them, on our lone health center we have here in BamendaNkwe, we have a theater there already. I’m pleading on them to come out so we can see how we can equip this theatre and maybe ask for the government to integrate it into a full hospital where we have a resident doctor that can be taking care of the population."

"we need the collaboration of all the elites, all the councilors and all the inhabitants of Bamenda 1 council to realize this budget and this budget is for the community it’s not for the council. It is for the population. So we have thought it wise to see that we develop our community. We have so many projects that are coming up in Bamenda I and we are very lucky that Bamenda I is a village on its own that we can seat anywhere and discuss in our dialects and develop our community."

There has been an increase of over 120million FCFA for the upcoming year as compared to the previous year.

Bamenda I Council under the auspices of Mayor Mbigha Felix Njah will be kick-starting the 2022 financial year with road, constructions, potable water supply and Health facility development as her development priority.
