Bamenda I Mayor with Prizes

Two primary six pupils currently schooling in the Bamenda I council area have emerged top of the Special council support fund for mutual ASSISTANCE, FEICOM contest

The contest organised with the supervision of councils to mark the 45th anniversary of FEICOM saw Munduh Ranibel of GS Up station emerge first with 26.5/30. Their contest was focused on their dream job. She outsmarted Mohamadou Moumini of EP Mayel Ibbe I who scored 25.75 and Na' A Kom Tiati of Ecole d'Application  de Mebanga who scored 25/30

In another contest challenging the pupils to write about their perception regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, Lobti Pearl of Saint Brigit BNPS scored 17/20 and emerging as the overall best. Closely followed by Eyenga Zeh Rose Laureine of EPI A3 Ebolowa with 16.25 and Hamna Oumarou of Premier International BNPS with 14.87/20


While handing over the prizes at the FEICOM's multipurpose hall, the Director General, Phillipe Camille Akoa noted that the aim of the contest is to "develop creativity, promote merit and strengthen the civic sense in young children"

On hand to receive the prizes was the Mayor of Bamenda I, Mbigha Felix we saluted the institution for such a wonderful initiative




Coming from a region whose educational prowess has been greatly affected by a four year old conflict , Mayor Mbigha highlighted that "this will spur other kids still at home to go to school"



Organized under the Cameroon Students challenge kids, the Mayor dedicated the prizes to the community of Bamenda I that has finally gotten stability that can allow pupils and students go to school


This year's challenge is the first of its kind organized by FEICOM
