COVID-19: Bamenda Gets an upsurge in cases



Bamenda, Capital City of the North West Region, has recorded Nine new cases of the coronavirus

Two of the nine cases came in from other Regions of the country notably Yaounde and Kumba while seven others got infected in Bamenda

North West Regional Delegate of Health, Dr Kingsley Che Soh in a Press Release on Saturday May 9, called on the population to scrupulously respect the measures put in place by the Government and the world Health Organization (WHO)

Limit inter-urban transport, stay at home as much as possible, always wash your hands with soap and running were some of the measures reiterated by the Delegate

Denizens of the Region had long called on social media for the Region's boundaries with other regions to be closed when Douala, Yaounde and Bafoussam continued to record new cases. A call never heeded to

The Region now counts 20 confirmed cases, 16 under clinical observation in Bamenda, one in Mbengwi and three deaths
