The WCPDM President for Mezam 1B, Madam Mbah Miriam, has called for the decentralisation of the University Of Bamenda. The call came on the hills of the joint section conference of the party that took place on Saturday September 3rd 2016, the first in 10 years. She also made mention of the fact that land has been made readily available to host several faculties should the head of state decides to decentralise the structure which currently has a lone campus in Bambili. The joint section conference was holding under the theme;"Renewed political vitality towards a ground breaking trust of the CPDM in Mezam 1B".
The Mezam 1B Section President, Cletus Anye Matorya, also called on the head of state to launch his campaigns for the forth coming elections in the maternity of the party.
In a political discuss, Dr Nick Ngwayam called on the militants of the party to support the head of state by implementing the policies put in place by the government into practice.
This statement was further reiterated by the the Vice President of the Senate, Rt Hon. Senator Simon Achidi Achu who challenged the leadership of Mezam 1B to lead by example through submissive habits and more service to the party.
The joint section conference was also an opportunity for didactic materials to be handed to some 29 Government and Private schools while seven other schools located in the rural parts of Mezam 1B, benefited from benches
The section will also proceed in the days ahead to hold Educational meetings with its members to improve their knowledge of party activities especially in the areas of scouting for new members and the understanding of basic rules of the party.
