Publisher/ Editor-In-Chief says, Cham Victor, Newspaper’s next phase and associated innovations to be unveiled during event
Municipal Updates Daily one of Cameroon's most widely read and leading daily newspapers will fete its 10th anniversary October 10, 2026. The landmark event is scheduled to hold at the National Episcopal Conference in Yaounde.
The anniversary caps a decade-long journey that began in April 2015, when the paper was founded in Buea by its Publisher, Editor-In-Chief, Cham Victor Bama.
Municipal Updates has since grown from a modest weekly publication re-launched in 2019 as a biweekly in 2020, before attaining daily status in 2022,a rare feat in Cameroon's media landscape.
Next Phase of Newspaper
According to Cham Victor, the among the many issues to mark the event and shape the newspaper’s trajectory for the future will be the launching of new projects.
Cham said the event will see the unveiling of a project to contstruct a new and befitting head office, office equipment, a new logo and motor for the Daily newspaper which has in10 years gained its place in Cameroon’s media landscape. The Publisher said other surprises will be made public on the day itself.
He said guests from across the country and all walks of life have been invited for the event.
