The Nkambe Regional Hospital Annex has officially conducted the technical reception of modern medical equipment supplied under the 2026 Public Investment Budget of the North-West Regional Assembly, pending provisional reception.
The project, awarded to Dreamland Connect PLC at a cost of 100 million FCFA, aims to strengthen healthcare delivery and emergency response services in the North-West Region. The contractor respected the 120-day execution deadline and completed the delivery ahead of schedule while complying with contract specifications and quality standards.
The equipment package includes a mobile X-ray machine, anesthesia machines with ventilators, theatre machines, patient monitors, oxygen concentrators, infusion pumps, suction machines, defibrillators, nebulizers, fixed X-ray equipment, surgical operation sets, traumatology sets, wheelchairs, stretchers, examination beds, laryngoscopes, blood pressure monitors, pediatric blood pressure machines, endotracheal tubes, and several emergency and surgical care devices.
Hospital authorities say the equipment will significantly improve surgical services, trauma care, diagnostics, maternal healthcare, patient monitoring, and emergency interventions for populations in Nkambe and surrounding communities.
Speaking during the technical reception ceremony, the Director of the Nkambe Regional Hospital Annex expressed appreciation to the North-West Regional Assembly for prioritizing healthcare investments and to Dreamland Connect PLC for delivering quality equipment within the stipulated timeframe.
The Director, speaking on behalf of the population, noted that the intervention would help reduce costly referrals to distant health facilities, improve access to specialized healthcare services, and strengthen public confidence in local healthcare delivery.
