Ngah Christian Mbipgo has been overwhelmingly re-elected as President of the Cameroon English Language Newspaper Publishers' Association (CENPA).
He was elected without opposition during a General Assembly held at Bengo Hotel in Ebolowa on Friday, April 10, 2026.
The publishers renewed their trust in Ngah Christian Mbipgo, who is also the publisher of The Guardian Post newspaper. They praised his leadership, saying he has helped make CENPA more visible and ensured that the English-language press continues to survive even during difficult times.
After his re-election, Ngah encouraged his colleagues not to give up and to keep providing readers with reliable and accurate information.
Ngah Christian Mbipgo will lead a 16-member executive team. Wasso Norbert of The Sun is the First Vice President, while Ndikum Gerald of The Horizon is the Second Vice President.
Dr. Olive Ejang of The Ultimate was elected Secretary General, with Teneng Lucas of The Reporter as Assistant Secretary. Theodore M. Ndze of The Voice is the Treasurer, and Elias Ngalame of Eco-Outlook is the Financial Secretary.
The Public Relations Officer is Richard Nde of the Herald Tribune, while Ndiba Williams of Cameroon Echoes will serve as the first Organizing Secretary of the Association.
Solomon Agborem of The Dawn will serve as the first Disputes Officer. Choves Loh of The News and Abong Clextus of Eden are the auditors. Martin Nkemngu of Africa Excellence Magazine and Bouddih Adams of The Post will serve as advisers.
The elections followed a review of the CENPA constitution, which clarified many issues and introduced new positions. The new team will lead the Association for the next four years.
The General Assembly was held shortly after a workshop on the theme: “Consolidating National Unity: The Role of the Media.”
