MTN Cameroon has reinforced its pillars through the MTN Skills Academy in Dschang, certifying 1,430 young people from a pool of 1,792 registrants.
The initiative illustrates MTN’s sustained commitment to community empowerment, human capital development, and the growth of a digitally capable workforce.
By focusing on foundational digital capabilities literacy, cybersecurity awareness, workplace-ready communication, and entrepreneurship - the Academy enhances employability, productivity, and innovation readiness across the youth segment. It also strengthens MTN’s role as a catalyst for economic transformation, not just a telecommunications operator.
“The MTN Skills Academy perfectly illustrates MTN’s commitment to digital inclusion,” said Melvin Akam, General Manager, Regulatory & Corporate Affairs. “Access to digital skills is a critical driver of economic and social development.”
With the University of Dschang as a regional hub for training delivery, the program affirms a scalable model for public–private collaboration that can be replicated across Cameroon.
For MTN, the outcomes contribute to long-term value creation: more digitally confident communities, stronger small business potential, and a talent pipeline aligned with the demands of a digital economy.
The program reflects MTN’s broader mission to foster long-term national development by ensuring that young Cameroonians have equal access to critical digital skills.
