Bar Akumah Miranda has been re-elected as the  President of Ntarikon Cooperative Credit Union Limited.

She was re-elected to pilot the affairs of the union for the next three years, after previously winning the Presidency, one year ago.

With her previous mandate haven come to an end, Bar Akumah Miranda had to face the uphill task of first winning her way back to the Board of Directors before reclaiming her crown as the President of the Board of Directors.

With two vacancies at the Board, Bar Akumah Miranda was overwhelmingly elected alongside Chi Charles who is a solar and tech engineer to the Board.

Bar Akumah Miranda was challenged on the road to the Presidency by her Board Secretary, Fru Doris and a Board Member, Chi Chrisantus.

After  a rigorous campaign that saw supporters running back and forth the Bamenda Municipal stadium, Bar Akumah Miranda emerged as the leader, vision bearer and President of Ntarikon Cooperative Credit Union Limited. She was elected with 1955 votes as against 1199 for Fru Doris who automatically becomes her vice. Chi Chrisantus emerged a distant third with 456 votes.


Bar Akumah Miranda had an impressive balance sheet as the President of the Board of Directors on her first year. Reducing loan delinquency, improving significantly on the balance sheet and ensuring that the 6% interest on shares/savings is respected. She has completed the digitization drive of the union.

She will pilot the affairs of the union till the end of her current mandate.
