At the start of the first ever North West Economic Forum, partners have been discussing the creation of jobs for North West youths.
At the fore is the lead sponsor of the economic forum, Source Du Pays.
According to Ayuk Isaac, National Brand Manager of Source Du Pays, the company is going to start a branch in the North West region pretty soon.
"For now, the North West Region is being managed from Bafoussam. Our brand will soon operate a distribution center in the North West Region. This will create so many job opportunities for the young people of the region." Ayuk Isaac said.
The pious hope of the company is to ensure that its products which includes Supermont, Realtor, Bubble Up amongst others will get to all the ends of the Region.
To the North West Cooperative Association Limited, NWCA, it's General Manager, Timothy Waindim, Gold sponsor at the Economic Forum, said there are a lot of opportunities in the coffee sector.
"The North West Region is the biggest exporter of arabic coffee." Waindim said.
He presented a strong argument that consuming their lead brand, Kola Coffee will prevent capital flight and support the economy of the North West.
With some 35,000 persons engaged in the production chain, Kola Coffee is produced and processed in Bamenda and is a perfect example of the import substitution policy enshrined in the National Development Strategy 2020-2030.
Timothy Waindim called on the investors to invest in the coffee sector which is a real jewel of the region as Kola coffee is the best in taste and quality.
With increased consumption and investments, more families and young persons will be gainfully employed.
