COVID-19: CCMN NW Distributes Sanitary Equipments, Empowers Journalists

CCMN National Coordinator hands over hand sanitizer and face mask to Kuamo Arnaud

The Covid-19 epidemic is no longer just a public health crisis, but a huge threat to the world’s economy which Cameroon is part of.

As the journalists join the chase to sensitize the masses on the preventive measures for a #COVID19FreeSociety, the Presbyteriam Church in Cameroon and Bread For the World through the Peace Journalism and Conflict Transformation project, thought it wise to commend the efforts of the members of the Cameroon  Community Media Network CCMN, through some community Radio stations, bloggers, TV and CSO, that belong to the network, to protect themselves while discharging their duty in this era of the novel Coronavirus.

This gesture is not only going to end in the Northwest. The North West plus 7 regions under the 6 chapters of the CCMN have benefitted from this gesture.

At a brief event to hand these sanitizers,  facial masks and liquid soap to beneficiaries the Cordinator for CCMN NW, Mrs. Rosaline Obah Akah thanked its partners for this timely Initiative and urged beneficiaries to make sure that all staff within their establishments as well as visitors use the materials to prevent the virus.

The close to 20 beneficiaries(Media houses) saluted the efforts of the PCC and Brot at a time when the world is on its knees to combat the novel virus.
