House of Chiefs: Fon Ndung Nuhu Mvo Wins Menchum Division, Defeats incumbent House Secretary

The list of Fon Ndung Nuhu Mvo has won the three available seats in the North West House of Chiefs from Menchum Division.

The list which is made up of Fon Ju Wilson of Koshing and Fon Azah Kudi Samuel scored 34 votes as against 23 for the list of the incumbent Secretary of the North West House of Chiefs, Fon Bahmbi III Mathias with 23 votes.

This means a real shake up in the executives of the House of Chiefs made up of a President and a Secretary.

Fon Bahmbi III Mathias held the position of Secretary for inaugural five years of the House. 

On his list, another incumbent will not be making his return. Fon Aaron Kulla of Abar who was a member of the house and Fon Ayo Wilson Uze of Modelle will not take a seat at the house.

Fon Ndung and his team campaigned on:

1.Development of Menchum

2. Promotion and protection of Menchum Cultural Heritage 

3. Creation of the Menchum Fons Union

4. Disenclavement of Menchum, Unity among the people, promotion of Menchum Cultural Revival programs, restoration of heritage sites

Menchum Division initially presented three lists at the November 30th Regional Elections and it now certain that the list of Fon Ndung will be heading to Bamenda.
