Cameron's leading telecommunications company, CAMTEL, celebrated the 139th International Labour's Day with a call to uphold integrity and loyalty at work.
The call was made by the General Manager of CAMTEL, Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi as she emphasized to the employees of the company, the importance of decent work in achieving a peaceful Cameroon.
She highlighted CAMTEL's commitment to respecting worker's rights and dignity, citing the company's respect of paying retirement benefits to retired workers.
Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi used the 2025 international Labour's Day to announce the company's plan to strengthen its sales with the launch of new projects like the mobile Expansion project and the Blue Money, a mobile money platform.
The 2025 edition of the Labour Day celebrated under the theme "Social Dialogue and Decent work for a peaceful Cameroon," saw the GM of CAMTEL condemn the frequent vandalism and sabotage of Camtel's infrastructure, calling on employees to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
The General Manager urged the employees to continue working with integrity, loyalty and dedication to achieve CAMTEL'S goals.
''CAMTEL is not just a company. It is an institution of public service with rules, values and with a mission of national interest. I wish to remind you that we will not build the future with past practices. We will connect Cameroon with integrity and competence." Judith Yah Sunday said.
The 139 edition of the labour Day provided an opportunity for the General Manager to explain CAMTEL'S commitment to social dialogue and decent work with a mission to making the telecommunications industry in Cameroon an envy of the continent.
