Yang replaces Musonge as Grand chancellor

Cameroon's President, Paul Biya on Friday April 17th 2020 appointed a new Grand Chancellor of National orders

Erstwhile Prime minister Philemon Yang takes over from Peter Mafany Musonge.

Philemon Yang was Prime Minister for the Central African state for close to 10 years( 30th March 2009 to 4th January 2019)

Shortly after his appointment, the new Grand Chancellor appreciated the Head of State for yet another nomination

"I wish to thank the Head of state for another opportunity to serve the nation. It's a job I've never done but will learn in the process." Yang noted


The office of Grand chancellery of the Republic of Cameroon is in charge of dishing out state medals to hard working cameroonians


He takes over from Peter Mafany Musonge who has been the grand chancellor of national orders since April 2007

Peter Mafany Musonge will now concentrate as the President of the commission for the promotion of Bilingualism and multiculturalism
